"LIFE COACH OFFERS WAYS
TO IMPROVE YOUR LUCK "
For Immediate Release:
How to be your own good luck charm
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. Each year about this time, we see people
dressing in green, carrying a four-leafed clover, and talking
about luck. But is it true that some people are lucky and
others are not? If you are the kind of person convinced that
you're "chronically unlucky" you may actually be
creating the negative experiences you fear.
"Creating good luck" is a skill that can be learned,"
says Master Certified Life Coach Barbara McRae, MCC. McRae,
a former top HR exec who has spent 20 years coaching hundreds
of executives, has advice and practical tips for making life
changes. How luck is created is one of the many subjects McRae
covers in her new book, "Less Drama, More Fun."
"Luck is a natural consequence of positive core beliefs.
If you want to create better luck, shift your beliefs to match
your preferred outcome. Everyone feels frustrated and dissatisfied
at times, but when you let negative thoughts rule your consciousness,
you close yourself off from creating your own good luck, "
explains McRae.
Negativity is typically triggered when we're in a situation
we don't like and want it to be different (weight, appearance,
undesirable habit, job, relationship, health, or finances).
Dissatisfaction is the biggest obstacle to success. The simplest
shift in thinking is to decide to be open to new possibilities
without first needing external evidence.
Here are some tips for creating better luck in your life:
- IDENTIFY CORE BELIEFS. Identify any negative core beliefs
you may have running through your mind. Once you recognize
self-defeating thought patterns, it is easier to shift them
to the positive.
- INCREASE LIKEABILITY. Likeability increases luck. When
you are genuinely friendly and a good listener, people are
drawn to you. In sales, as in many other professions, people
with good personalities often attract more sales and keep
loyal customers.
- STOP OVERANALYZING. When things don't go the way you wanted
them to, don't overanalyze the experience. We often make
assumptions and leap to conclusions and collect "evidence"
that support a negative thought. Learn to transform a negative
thought or experience into a positive one.
- LEARN TO RECEIVE. Have the strength and the courage to
reach out to others and learning to receive will yield much
better results than all all the effort, time, and money
you put into your endeavors. All external problems have
internal solutions!
