Barbara McRae, MCC, is a nationally known Master Certified Coach, author, leadership coach, strategist, radio show host, trainer, and founder of EnhancedLife Coaching® since 1996. She specializes in coaching leaders: executives, business owners, GEN Y, parents and teens, taking them to their next level of success – professionally and personally. A recognized expert in professional coaching, as profiled in BusinessWeek magazine, USA Today and The New York Times, she has partnered with business owners and corporate executives worldwide to help them integrate their personal and professional lives for greater performance and fulfillment in both. She helps clients think strategically; clients report enhanced performance, focus, and clarity as a result.

Barbara’s corporate experience includes 20 years as senior level Human Resources Executive, consultant and executive coach for several Fortune 500 companies, including Allied Signal, General Electric, Bank One (Chase) and Cox Communications. Prior to developing her own practice, Barbara was Regional Human Resources Director with Cox Communications, Inc. where she functioned as an Executive Coach and Trainer to a dozen General Managers and their teams. She has designed comprehensive career development programs, focused on personal and organizational effectiveness and delivered organizational development interventions in consolidating operations.

Barbara’s background in human resources, employee development and consulting with both Fortune 500 companies and smaller, local firms has positively impacted multitudes. Ms. McRae is also an executive coach with Coaching.com, the coaching arm of The Ken Blanchard Companies, a premier global training and development company. Barbara has numerous titles and certifications to her credit and has served on the board of directors at Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Colorado.

Ms. McRae is a Phi Beta Kappa, cum laude graduate from Beloit College with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and German with multi-cultural experience. She taught adult education at the University of Ohio in Columbus for three years. Barbara earned her Master Certified Coach credential (highest distinction includes professional training and approximately 5 years hands-on coaching requirements) from the International Coach Federation. Currently, she serves on the ICF Application Review Committee to credential coaches seeking a PCC or MCC designation and reviews coaching schools seeking ICF accredited status.

Personal Thoughts:

My predominant belief is that changing our inner thoughts, changes our outer reality. I've experienced a full range of life cycle events. And, I can identify with the gut-wrenching of tragedy and loss as much as I can with the exhilaration of success and good fortune. Living in a problem-free zone does not mean there aren't any problems or challenges; it means, you move through these problems quickly and they don't become obstacles. Much of the work we do uncovers your own power to literally help you get out of your own way. You will develop your own mental "tool kit" to reach your goals effortlessly and have fun in the process.
